Inside the New Cooking School at Serenbe

With high-performance appliances, considered materials, and plenty of room to gather, this hardworking kitchen is ready to welcome guests for cooking classes, celebrations, and community events.

Just thirty minutes outside of Atlanta, Serenbe is a wellness-focused, biophilic community built around the idea of “fresh food and fresh air.” The neighborhood has more than 650 residents—and welcomes nearly 300,000 visitors each year.

Much of the landscaping is edible—really—with community herb gardens and blueberry bushes lining paths and sidewalks. At the heart of the community is a 25-acre organic farm that produces more than 300 varieties of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers.

With produce this fresh, it only makes sense that Serenbe would offer standout culinary experiences, too. And now, instead of simply grabbing a table at one of its restaurants, visitors can get in on the action at the community’s new cooking school and event space.

The kitchen was recently outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances from SKS, sustainable countertops by Caesarstone, and contemporary cabinetry by Novalina.

The space is equipped with 36-inch Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerators, 24-inch Professional Dishwashers with PowerSteam®, and 30-inch Professional Double Wall Oven with Steam-Combi. With AutoCook™ technology and LCD touchscreens, the ovens offer an intuitive cooking experience with streamlined controls. They also feature Steam Sous Vide, an especially useful addition for the larger-scale events hosted in the space.

Guests can also try three different SKS cooking configurations: a 36-inch Gas Cooktop, a 36-inch Flex Induction Cooktop, and the best of both worlds in the 36-inch Dual-Fuel Professional Rangetop with 2 Burners, Sous Vide and Induction.

The kitchen’s contemporary aesthetic comes courtesy of Novalina cabinetry, combining two of the brand’s collections and finishes. The upper cabinets and open shelving are Novalina’s Cremonacollection in Sand Oak. Crafted from a wood-effect laminate with a synchronized-pore texture that follows the grain pattern, the finish brings a warm, natural look and tactile quality to the room. The gray cabinetry is from the Boston collection in Terra Gray Satin. Its satin lacquer fronts provide a smooth, sophisticated contrast.

Finally, Caesarstone’s Calacatta Lacebound tops the cabinetry. The surface is part of ICON, Caesarstone’s latest material innovation nearly four decades after the company pioneered quartz surfaces. Its formulation replaces the quartz traditionally used in engineered surfaces with recycled glass, creating layered tones and visual texture throughout each slab. The result is a more sustainable surface that doesn’t sacrifice beauty—perfectly aligned with Serenbe’s ethos.

With high-performance appliances, considered materials, and plenty of room to gather, this hardworking kitchen is ready to welcome guests for cooking classes, celebrations, and community events for years to come.
