The Inn at Serenbe
Readers' Choice Awards 2024, 2025
Just 40 minutes outside Atlanta, you'll find this gorgeous wellness-focused inn tucked within 1,000 acres of preserved forestland and farmland. It focuses on what many travelers don’t get enough of: quiet, nature, and a slow-paced way of life.
The peace and quiet starts even before arrival, as guests pass through rolling countryside and wooded trails on the way in, kickstarting a natural transition away from the city’s hustle-and-bustle. Upon approaching the property, that sense of nature continues with an external and internal design centered around biophilia—the idea that consistent exposure to natural environments supports both mental and physical wellbeing, says Juliann West, general manager of The Inn.
“Wellness here is woven into daily life—guests can start the morning with guided forest walks, yoga classes, or labyrinth meditation sessions, then spend afternoons biking the property’s trails, visiting the on-site organic farm, or reading by the pool in one of the quiet garden courtyards,” she says. “Even simple experiences, like horseback riding through wooded paths or helping with seasonal farm activities, are designed to reconnect visitors with slower, more tactile routines that naturally lower stress levels. Our goal is to reconnect people with nature; there are many ways to do so without overburdening or overstimulating them.”
