7 Designer Show Houses to Have on Your Radar for 2026

Show houses allow interior designers free rein to showcase what they're all about. If you love interior design, you won't want to miss these seven stunning properties popping up around the South.

Looking for interior design inspiration? There’s no better way to get your creative wheels turning than to totally immerse yourself in the many designer show houses that take place across the South. These annual events give designers the opportunity to go wild! Typically, each designer is given free rein over a single space — a bedroom, a library, the kitchen, or even a powder bath — and brings it to life with their creative vision. And occasionally, one designer takes on the whole house.

This is when designers can execute a design exactly as they envisioned it. It’s design in its purest form, which is why it’s so fun to wander through these show houses. Here are seven to have on your radar for the coming year!

Last year, I had the pleasure of touring a Charlotte Moss-designed Southern Living Idea House outside of Charlottesville, VA.

Kips Bay Decorator Show House | Palm Beach, FL

Dates: February 25 – March 24, 2026

Kips Bay is one of the most iconic names in designer show houses. It began in New York to support the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and has since expanded southward. The 2026 show marks the designer show house’s ninth year in Palm Beach, where it supports the Palm Beach Boys & Girls Club, though it still goes by the classic Kips Bay name.

This year’s show house will actually span two properties along North Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach. The Intracoastal House is a dramatic waterfront property, while The Palm Cottage sits directly across the street. Preview night is on February 24, and general admission tickets are $50.

This bathroom by House of Clark Interiors features stunning marble tile and a mural on the ceiling, tying together modern and coastal themes.

Throughout the month-long run, visitors can enjoy a Gala Preview Party, a First Look Tour, design panels, and even a plein air retreat. They can also take advantage of the on-site cafe and boutique for sipping, snacking, and shopping. Standard daily tickets are $45, and the show house is open Tuesday through Sunday, with late hours each Friday evening.
