Serenbe Foods Red Onion Jam

Spice Up Your Fall Dishes With Serenbe's Red Onion Jam

It’s finally starting to feel like fall here in Georgia, which means it’s the perfect time to start cooking up everyone’s favorite fall meals: soups, chili, roasted meats and, of course, all the root veggies one can imagine. What if you could add the perfect sweet yet savory garnish to your favorite homemade soup or that mouthwatering pork tenderloin you’ve been dreaming about all day at work?

Serenbe Foods makes a deliciously unique Red Onion Jam that can provide the perfect topping to any fall recipe. The jam is  made with simple ingredients - red onion, red wine vinegar, sugar and salt, and is stored in a glass jar to last you through the winter. Try the red onion jam on anything you’d like: a cheese plate, cream or broth-based soup, atop your favorite roasted meat, or on a biscuit for a savory addition to lunch or breakfast.

While we can’t bottle up the country air or the colorful leaves on the trails, visitors of Serenbe can take a piece of the community home with them by picking up a jar of Serenbe Foods jams. Other flavors include strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, peach butter, pumpkin butter (hello pumpkin spice fans!), and hot pepper jelly. They also sell an assortment of pickled items, including spicy pickled okra, carrots and ginger, dilly beans, and bread & butter pickles.

You may even see a variety of jams incorporated into the menu at The Farmhouse restaurant, from the breakfast menu to the bar. For instance, the Jam Jar cocktail is a super refreshing, fun drink to try any time of the year.

Mix up your own jam cocktail:

  • 1 tbsp. Serenbe Foods jam (we suggest blueberry or strawberry)
  • 1 oz. vodka
  • 1/2 oz. lemon juice
  • Club Soda
  • Sprig of Rosemary

Grab Red Onion Jam or any other item at the Inn at Serenbe, The Farmhouse restaurant, the Saturday Farmer’s Market (June-October), and online at serenbefoods.com.
