A thoughtful refresh rooted in sustainability, comfort, and the quiet beauty of Serenbe living.

Tucked into Serenbe’s landscape at The Inn, the Lake House has always been a place to gather, slow down, and just be. Originally built for Marie Nygren’s mother, Margaret Lupo of Mary Mac fame, and her sister, it’s one of the first cottages on the Inn property and still holds that early Serenbe spirit.
Now, it’s stepping into a new chapter.
Through a collaboration with GreenRow, Williams-Sonoma’s sustainable furniture brand, the Lake House has been refreshed in a way that feels true to what’s always been there. It’s less about reinventing and more about building on the same values, living intentionally, respecting the land, and creating spaces that feel both beautiful and lasting.
The design from GreenRow fits right in. Thoughtfully made, comfortable, and timeless, they add warmth and texture without taking away from the home’s original character.

The Lake House is set up for both connection and quiet. With four bedrooms, each with a king bed and its own bathroom, it feels like a retreat, and a great way to bring family, friends or groups together.
The main living space flows easily from the living room into the kitchen and dining area, while smaller moments are tucked throughout, a snug room for reading, quiet corners for conversation, places to slow down a bit.
GreenRow’s cottage-luxe style shows up in subtle ways: soft patterns, natural materials, and details that feel lived-in from the start. Each room also features wallpaper from their new collection, adding a layer of personality that still feels grounded and calm.

The screened porch is still the heart of it all. It’s where mornings start with coffee and evenings stretch out a little longer than planned. It’s easy, open, and connected to everything around it.
There’s also an indoor sun porch for year-round light, but really, the landscape does most of the work, quietly shaping how you spend your time.
Available to book as individual guest rooms or as a full four-bedroom cottage, the Lake House is designed for couples, families, and small groups alike, offering a stay that feels both personal and shared.
To experience it fully, The Inn at Serenbe offers a thoughtfully curated GreenRow Lake House Package that mirrors the spirit of the home itself.
Over the course of the two-night package stay, guests are invited to settle into a slower rhythm, where mornings will begin with breakfast at The Farmhouse, the afternoon unfolds outdoor in nature or at the spa, and evenings are shaped by shared meals, conversation, and time well spent together.
With a mix of guided experiences, chef-driven dining, and simple, intentional touches throughout, the experience is less about a packed itinerary and more about creating space, to gather, to unwind, and to reconnect.

The GreenRow Lake House isn’t just a redesign, it’s a reflection of how thoughtful design and intentional living can come together in a way that feels natural.
And during your stay, you’re not just looking at it, you’re living in it. From the textiles to the furniture, everything is meant to be used, enjoyed, and felt. If you find yourself wanting to bring a bit of it home, the GreenRow collection is available to shop, so you can carry that same feeling into your own space.
