ABOUT THE BOOK

A beautifully written and illustrated picture book about precious times between caregivers and children. This charming story is inspired by the theory that spending just 20 minutes of quality time a day between a caregiver and child benefits their relationship in multiple ways.Time for Us was written from Rebecca’s own experience as a working mother struggling to make time for her son, which shows us the importance of finding time to spend with loved ones.

This children’s book offers:

– A heartwarming story written by Rebecca Walker, an award-winning author, feminist, and activist, and winner of numerous awards.

– An authentic family story, based on the author’s own life as a Black woman and a mother to a son.

– A story based on the study that 20 minutes of quality time between caregiver and child positively impacts child development, and encourages the importance of spending time together. To Jackson, Mama is the most important person in the world. But when she has to work, his imagination can only keep him entertained for so long. Who else can he share everything with, from the tallest tree to the tiniest hummingbird?
