Join us for a 4-day kids wheel throwing workshop.
8/27, 9/3, 9/10, 9/17
The wheel throwing workshop is for children who want to explore wheel throwing. The wheel is a powerful machine, so we want children to be at least 10 years old to join. Throughout the four weeks, Lindsey will teach basic skills on the wheel, trimming and glazing. Students will make and glaze about 3-6 pieces.
Class meets for 2 hours each session.
Class 1: Get familiar with basic skills like centering, opening up and pulling walls.
Class 2: Continuous exploration of centering and pulling walls
Class 3: Trimming pieces + surface design
Class 4 Painting, carving, attaching handles
Pick up your pieces with 4-6 weeks of the last class. We will send you an email once they are ready.
All classes include clay, underglaze/paint, glaze and firing.
We, unfortunately, can't accomodate or reimburse for missed classes.
We need at least three participants to have the workshop.
