Acton Academy at Serenbe is an innovative, learner-driven community serving ages 6 weeks – 18 years, with a mission to “inspire each child who enters outdoors to find a calling that will change the world.” At Acton we share a corebelief that every child has greatness within them, and it is the school’s roleto create an environment where they can discover and nurture that greatness.Acton’s model engages students in real-world projects, educational quests, andSocratic discussions in multi-age classrooms focused on the “Hero’s Journey” ofeach student – helping students develop their academic skills while seekingtheir calling in life.

The Head of School at Acton Academy at Serenbe should be a dedicatededucator familiar with and supportive of the Acton philosophy. This leader willbe responsible for implementing the vision, mission and strategic objectives ofthe school while building community and a culture reflective of the uniqueprinciples of a learner-led community school immersed in nature.
